ClassDojo at Bamford Primary School
ClassDojo is a key part of how we build a connected, positive, and informed school community. It supports behaviour, communication, and celebration across the whole school, helping children feel recognised and families feel involved in daily school life.
Every class uses ClassDojo to reward positive learning behaviours—such as resilience, kindness, teamwork, and effort—giving children clear, consistent messages about what helps them succeed. These points link directly to our school values and help pupils take pride in their achievements. A unique feature of our approach is that children also belong to whole‑school teams, working together to earn points collectively. This creates a strong sense of belonging and friendly competition across year groups. Team points are celebrated regularly, helping children feel part of something bigger and encouraging them to support one another.
ClassDojo is also one of our main communication tools. Teachers aim to share daily updates, photos, and class stories so families can see what learning looks like each day. Alongside this, we aim to publish half‑termly class newsletters outlining upcoming learning, key dates, and ways families can support at home. The Headteacher’s half‑termly newsletter is also shared, keeping everyone informed about whole‑school events, celebrations, and important messages.
