Special Educational Needs

The Peak Federation is a mainstream federation committed to providing a fully inclusive experience for all children regardless of individual needs and in an environment which values and celebrates diversity.

In order to achieve this, our schools has a designated Special Education Needs Disability Co-ordinator (SENDCo), Mrs Gemmell and Mrs Chapman.

Mrs Gemmell and Mrs Chapman both hold the SENDCo qualification and they are charged with ensuring that our school's SEND provision works effectively to ensure that all our pupils, regardless of educational need, are able to enjoy learning and be successful in their learning goals.

The teachers are responsible for ensuring that the needs of each child are met fully.  They work in close partnership with our team of skilled Teaching Assistants, pupils and parents / carers to ensure that all children can succeed.

The Headteacher is held accountable for SEND Provision and reports to the Governing Body regarding the progress of all children in our schools, including our children with special educational needs.
